Community Clothes Closet
Our Community Clothes Closet is open the first Monday of the month from 11:00 - 3:00 to everyone. Diapers are also distributed during this time. Private appointments are available by calling the church office at 330-875-1673. I's all free.
(If the first Monday falls on or just before a holiday, the Closet will be open on the 2nd Monday.)

The diapers provided by the Heart of Ohio Diaper Bank offer needed emotional and financial stress relief for babies and families; allowing parents to focus on raising happy, healthy kids.
Many families must decide whether to purchase basic essential needs or diapers. Without diapers, babies cannot go to childcare or participate in early childhood education. Without childcare, many parents cannot go to work or school. When babies are uncomfortable, they cry more which often leads to tension in the home and less nurturing.

Heart of Ohio Diaper Bank distributes diapers and period products through these Community Partners:
The Heart of Ohio Diaper Bank collects diapers and distributes them through agency partners.
We limit duplication of services, reduce administration expenses and work collaboratively to solve a basic human need at the community level with food banks, social service agencies, and faith-based organizations.
More importantly, we strengthen the programming of our partners allowing them to make diapers and period products available to their families. If struggling families need diapers and period products, they often have other needs as well, which are best addressed through our partner agencies and their full continuum of care.

No state or federal safety-net program allocates dollars specifically for the purchase of diapers. WIC and food stamps cannot be used to purchase diapers.
Without an adequate supply of diapers, babies cannot participate in childcare. Without childcare parents cannot work.
The poverty rates of four counties we serve, Stark, Carroll, Harrison, and Tuscarawas, are higher than both the state and national rates, according to 2022 State of Poverty in Ohio Report from the Ohio Association of Community Action Agencies.
Many children in our community are impacted by the lack of diapers often suffering from reoccurring rashes and urinary infections creating stress on families.

Incontinence is a Real Problem
Heart of Ohio Diaper Bank provides Adult Incontinence Supplies to those in need. These are distributed through our Community Distribution Partners in six counties. Providing access to these essential supplies supports independence, dignity, and health for adults living with incontinence.

- 15-20% of adults over the age of 65 are incontinent. Unmanaged incontinence is a leading cause for otherwise healthy adults to become institutionalized, abused, or neglected
- Medicare DOES NOT cover incontinence supplies. With an average of $200/month cost, many go without the necessary supplies
- Adult incontinence affects more people every day than heart disease, diabetes, and cancer combined. Adults of all ages can struggle with incontinence for a variety of reasons
